What does Carna add to a course like Babbel's?

Babbel gives you a structured course. Carna scores eight skills, each from 0 to 100, at every level from A1 to C2, speaking and writing among them as well as grammar and vocabulary. Its conversation, writing and exam answers are a partly in the table, each with the limit named under the row.

Can I start on Carna without paying, when Babbel is paid from day one?
