IN SHORT

What does this business English course cover?

It covers the English of work: chairing a meeting, presenting, joining a discussion, and writing emails, reports and proposals. The tutor will give feedback on clarity, tone and register, and your speaking and writing will come back with a CEFR level, on a path that sits at B2 and C1. It will teach internationally intelligible business English rather than one regional variety, and it makes no promise about a timeline. For a team, Carna for Business runs today: a trainer assigns the practice, sets due dates and attempts, and reads each learner's record.

— THE PROBLEM, THE PRACTICE

What gets in the way, and the practice for it.

Three things that stop people at this goal, each beside the practice planned to remove it. Each row says whether it runs today or waits for the tutor's early access.

— WHAT YOU GET

FAQ

Common questions.

Straight answers, including what the individual tutor can and cannot do yet.

Will Carna teach British or American business English?

The tutor will teach internationally intelligible business English, the standard used in global companies, rather than one regional variety.

How long before I notice an improvement in meetings?

That depends on how often you practise and where you start, and Carna makes no promise about a timeline. What the tutor will do is keep every speaking and writing task on one CEFR scale, so you see the level move instead of guessing.

Is Carna for Business different from the individual tutor?

Yes. The individual tutor is in early access. Carna for Business runs today: a trainer assigns practice to a group, sets the due dates and attempts, and reads each learner's record course by course.
