— THE PROBLEM, THE PRACTICE
What gets in the way, and the practice for it.
Three things that stop people at this goal, each beside the practice planned to remove it. Each row says whether it runs today or waits for the tutor's early access.

ICAO Language Proficiency Rating failures are career-limiting events that generic English courses cannot prevent.
ICAO plain language
The tutor will practise open-ended communication in non-standard situations, with feedback on structure, vocabulary and fluency — three of the six areas the ICAO scale rates.
Plain-language English Early access
-
Non-routine communications — emergencies, diversions, unusual requests — require practised vocabulary that doesn't come naturally under stress.
Non-routine situations
The tutor will drill non-routine situations — a system failure, a diversion, a medical emergency on board — so the vocabulary is there when it matters most.
Non-routine situations Early access
-
ATC phraseology and pilot standard calls are precise by design; even minor vocabulary imprecision creates ambiguity.
Listening comprehension
Listening practice will train you to pick out the critical information at speed and with precision.

Training, on the record.
- Every course, with its score
- Its attempts, and whether it was handed in
- Late work, marked Late
Carna for Business runs on the same engine today. One learner's record shows every course with its score, its attempts and what was handed in, and the speaking and writing practice counted. Airlines and training organisations can book a demo now.

FAQ
Common questions.
Straight answers, including what the individual tutor can and cannot do yet.
Will Carna cover ICAO Language Proficiency Rating preparation?
This path is built around what the ICAO rating scale assesses — pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension and interactions — through plain-language speaking practice and listening at speed. It is preparation, not the rating itself, and Carna makes no promise about the level you will be awarded.
Will it suit cabin crew as well as pilots and ATC?
The speaking practice is plain-language communication under pressure, which cabin crew need as much as the flight deck and ATC. Cabin-crew-specific scenario sets are not something we promise yet.
Can I use Carna for general English alongside aviation-specific practice?
Yes. Carna's material runs from A1 to C2, so general fluency and aviation vocabulary will build in the same place, on the same scale.
EARLY ACCESS
First in line when it opens.
Carna's personal tutor will cover all eight skills from A1 to C2, and it is not open to individual learners yet. The early-access list is how you get in first: one quiet email when it opens, no drip campaign.
